HI, I’M DR. KAYLA BORCHERS!
A Holistic Orthopedic and Pelvic Health Physical Therapist, Prenatal and Postpartum Corrective Exercise Specialist, Certified Yoga Teacher...
& mama of three who is passionate about
proactive, root-case women’s health care. After seeing too many women suffer from lack of preventative care while working as a clinician in Sports Medicine, I left my medical center position and launched my own Holistic Physical Therapy and Wellness Private Practice to teach women how to support their optimal wellbeing prior to conception, during pregnancy and through postpartum healing (once postpartum, always postpartum!).
Frustrated by the lack of
evidence-based, holistic women's health
resources on your journey into and through motherhood?
I’ve heard it time and time again –
“every women should have access to this type of information”. Yet for some reason, our society has not yet evolved to educate women on their menstrual cycles and hormone health ahead of conception. Midwives and gynecologists are strapped for time during prenatal visits and are not taught how to care for the pregnant woman through optimal exercise and nourishment throughout pregnancy – that’s where I come in as a Holistic Orthopedic and Pelvic Health Physical Therapist.
Treating pain points – and ultimately preventing their onset in the first place – is my stroke of genius. Finally, as women transition into postpartum they are simply cleared at 6 weeks without any guidance on how to optimally heal their pelvic floor and deep core. This is the biggest disservice to mothers and it’s my mission to help you return to the activities you love – all while giving yourself grace, honoring this life season of change, and leaning into the beauty that is motherhood.
Meet Dr. Kayla Borchers
Founder, Owner, Doctor of Physical Therapy
Since launching this Holistic Physical Therapy and Wellness Private Practice in 2022, I’ve helped hundreds of women support their bodies through movement, nourishment and holistic health education so they can maintain an active lifestyle during pregnancy, avoid pain, manage urinary leakage, prepare for childbirth, navigate postpartum healing and optimally prepare the body for conception.
I have a knack for not just healing common pain points – but proactively preventing these discomforts in the first place. Utilizing a root-cause approach to women’s health sets me apart from other physical therapists, as does my background in orthopedics, sports medicine, pelvic health care and integrative dry needling.
I grew up in an entrepreneurial family with small town roots, so finding a need in the community around me and tending to it runs deep in my blood. Faith is the foundation for my life’s work – with my children and husband as the why behind all that I do. I love the slow, simple joys in our everyday rhythm of life – from sourdough pancakes on cold wintry mornings to barefoot gardening in the warm summer sun. Our family of five also has a love for adventures, as my husband and I find great joy in planning vacations to show our children other cultures and take in the beautiful world around us.
