Let’s work together to get to the root cause of your symptoms and help you fully enjoy this pregnancy – without common pregnancy pain points holding you back!

Common pregnancy concerns we treat:

Integrative Dry Needling

Integrative Dry Needling is both safe and effective for women during pregnancy. Many research studies have demonstrated dry needling’s use for pain and nausea relief during pregnancy without adversely affecting the mother or baby. Special attention is provided to avoid acupressure points and the abdomen during dry needling of the pregnant woman, of which Dr. Kayla will thoroughly educate you on within session.

If Integrative Dry Needling is not for you, cupping is another manual therapy technique that Dr. Kayla often utilizes and may recommend.
Dry Needling

I began visiting Dr. Kayla during my third trimester of pregnancy.

Dr. Kayla was the light and guiding voice I needed to help carry me through those last final months! She helped ease the tension I was holding onto during each session and gave me practical exercises and advice to take home. Dr. Kayla truly cares for your entire well-being! I will continue to see her throughout postpartum!

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Can you provide exercise recommendations?

Absolutely! This is part of my programming, all specific to you with our 1:1 sessions. You will always be provided with an email following your session outlining exercises to do at home between visits (all in a way that works with your time and interests; no boring PT exercises here!).

Do you help with birth preparation?

Yes! We go over pain management techniques, breathing and pushing positions once you are 34 weeks pregnant. A holistic approach is utilized with recommendations to support your hydration, nourishment and posture as well.

Can my partner attend any of our sessions?

For sure! If you would like your partner to attend a session, particularly as we approach your due date, they are welcome to. Your partner will be educated on how to help you feel best in pregnancy and labor with interventions such as pressure point release.

Do I need a referral?

No! A physician referral is not necessary for any of our services. We can schedule an appointment as soon as you are ready. However, I am happy to collaborate with any other healthcare professionals you are working with to ensure the best care possible for you.

Who will I work with?

You will work 1:1 with Dr. Kayla Borchers for the entirety of your appointment. We never double book appointment times, or alternate treatments with a PTA.

Do you accept my insurance?

We are an out of network provider. This means that we do not directly bill or accept insurance. However, we will provide you with a Superbill, which you can submit to your insurance company directly for coverage of some if not all of your PT services, particularly if you have a PPO plan.

How do I file for insurance reimbursement?

You can easily determine your out of network Physical Therapy benefits by calling the phone number on the back of your insurance card. Following each appointment, we will send you a Superbill with all of the information you need to submit to your insurance company for reimbursement.

Do you accept FSA/HSA?

Yes! Simply input this as your payment method when scheduling your appointment.

Can I bring my child with me?

Children are always welcome during your scheduled appointment time with Dr. Kayla. It is up to you if you would prefer solo treatment time or if it’s best to bring your child(ren) along! I do keep some toys on hand for your little ones, as I know how much I appreciate this as a parent!

Are there additional charges for Integrative Dry Needling?

Nope! All modalities recommended for use within your treatment session are included with fee for service at time of booking. No additional fees are added for treatment options such as Dry Needling.
